Are plants doing okay?

That’s the question which drives my work. Plants are threatened by land use change, pollinator decline, and climate change. I’m curious about the survival and reproduction of plants in remnant ecosystems, and what can be done to restore rare communities.

I am currently a PhD candidate in Biology in the Applied Ecology department of North Carolina State University in the Irwin Lab. I study plant and pollinator interactions in the “Piedmont Prairie” ecosystem of the southeastern United States.
